Ofqual Update January 2018

Revised arrangements for GCSE computer science

Following a consultation, Ofqual has decided to revise arrangements for the non-exam assessment part of the computer science GCSE. We announced today that the non-exam assessment will not count to the final 9 to 1 grade for 2018 or 2019. It is, however, still an important part of the course and contributes to student learning and progress, so all schools must continue to give students the opportunity within the timetable to complete the tasks.

We are writing to schools to inform them of this decision. We have also written to students explaining the change, which you can read here.
